ROOTED IN TEXAS.
RAISED ON THE RANCH.
WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY.
Our Story
Richardson Cattle Company is a third-generation ranching family with deep Texas roots and a story shaped by faith and hard work. What began in 1987 as a small ranch outside Carlsbad, New Mexico, quickly grew into a full-time operation when Jimmy and Linda Richardson felt called to leave Odessa and dedicate their lives to raising cattle.
After experimenting with several breeds, Jimmy transitioned to Black Angus and partnered with Gardiner Angus Ranch in Kansas—setting RCC on a path toward high-quality genetics and a focus on excellence. In 2012, Clay and Lauren Richardson joined the operation, expanding into AI and Embryo Transfer to strengthen the herd’s performance and sustainability.
In 2019, after more than 30 years in New Mexico, God led RCC back home to Texas. Today, the Richardson family operate out of Eastland County, continuing a legacy of raising gentle, high-quality Black Angus cattle for breeding and registered herds.
We’re grateful for every customer and friend who’s joined us along the way. Whether you’re here to talk pedigrees, EPDs, or just to visit the ranch, we invite you to come be part of the RCC family.
